George III-Style Mahogany Tester Bed

the molded tester frame supported by reeded, rice-carved, fluted and stop-fluted posts capped by carved finials, the posts supporting a shaped and figured headboard with cross-banded perimeter and supported by Chinese Chippendale fret-carved legs, manufactured to accommodate a contemporary queen-size mattress.
h. 84", inside w. 62-1/4", l. 82", outside w. 67-1/4", l. 87-1/4"

Condition

**The assembled bed is solid and sturdy. Each side rail is joined to the head or foot posts by a pair of bolts. One of those bolts is missing. They appear to be modern hex-headed bolts. Scattered, very minor mars and blemishes, the most notable of which are some chips to the slat rests on the inside of the rails. They are not visible when a mattress is on the bed.
