A very large, rare and fine ancient bronze fibula from the Scythian culture of Eurasia. Ca 1000 BC, this cloak or toga pin is a very early example of the fine bronzes produced by the nomadic tribes of the Scythian culture! Large, lozenge-shaped catch-plate incised with floral pattern, rounded "arm" with deep incised geometric patterns, long pin still intact. 5"W x 3-3/8"H, complete with custom stand.
