Description
Oil on masonite of market. Signed lower right. Dimensions: H 24" x W 32" Condition: Some paint losses. Koyongonda was an older member of the post-war school. He entered the army in 1936 where he stayed until the end of the war in 1945. His experience at the Battle of El Alamein altered his view on life and he devoted himself to art as a result. In 1947, he first exhibited in Kinshasa.

All the items in this auction remain at our gallery location in Norwalk, CT for pickup. Preview is by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9:30-4:30. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Wednesday, October 20th- Friday, October 29th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS.
