For your consideration is a massive 19th Century 12" Spanish faience charger signed "F.S.". The charger displays all the beautiful colors most commonly used in Spanish faience wares of this period - mustardy yellow, cobalt blue, sage green and black. The form of the charger is more like a shallow bowl as there is somewhat of a well inside the plate. The charger measures 2 pounds.

Item is in excellent condition with no damage or repair to clay body. As is typical with these wares, there are some glaze flakes and areas on the rim where the glaze did not adhere to the clay body. This is almost a sign of authenticity with these wares and none of the areas are detract from the overall attractiveness of the offering.
