Description
Very rare WWII V-44 USMC "Gung Ho" fighting knife. This V-44 was made by Collins. The blade is stamped with the Collins Legitimus No. 18 logo. The blade itself measures 9 7/16 inches, overall length measures 14 1/8 inches. Bright brass guard, and black composite handle. Very good condition with only hand honing visible. The original leather scabbard is stamped "COLLINS & Co LEGITIMUS 13." Minor wear to scabbard and wear hole in tip. Overall very good condition. From the Frank Pelnar Collection.
