After Alonzo Chappel (American, 1828-1887) "Action Between the Kearsarge & Alabama. (Rescue of the Crew of the Alabama by the Deerhound) " Civil War Nautical engraving published by Johnson, Fry & Co. Publishers New York. Below image inscription reads "From the original painting by Chappel in the possession of the publishers Johnson, Fry & Co. Publishers, New York Entered according to act of Congress A.D. 1864 by Johnson Fry & Co. in the clerks office of the district court of the southern district of NY." Image 11.25" H x 15.5" W, frame 13.75" H x 18" W. Provenance: Removed from a 30 Waterside Plaza estate.
