OWL AND SHIELD STAND LAMP, cobalt blue font, opaque white triple dolphin base, brass connector, No. 1 fine line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising a Holmes, Booth & Haydens "Collins" No. 1 slip burner, thumbwheel marked "PAT. SEPT. 19. 1865.", 3 1/2" stamped shade ring, ball-form shade with cut and engraved vintage decoration between frosted bands, translucent white cylindrical-form slip chimney. Second half 19th century. 16 5/8" H to top of shade, 10 3/4" H to top of collar, 5 1/4" D base. Shade 5 1/8" H, 3 3/8" D fitter.
