Description
Lot of Two Ethiopian Religious Processional Crosses and One Sword. Comprising one small and one large silver metal processional crosses, pierced with strapwork and interlocking cruciform motifs. Sizes: 12 1/2-inches and 26 3/4-inches. Lot also includes a sword, having a 28 1/8-inch straight blade with double fullers and etched with floral scrolls. Ricasso marked: G G on obverse and lion in repose on reverse. Carved horn grip with brass stud pommel cap. Contained in original hand-tooled red leather scabbard with laced throat. Condition: Crosses are very good to excellent with light wear and patina. No hafts present. Sword is good. Showing age wear, light pitting, rust spotting and dark patina. Scabbard with scuffs and wear, no belt loop present.
