19th c. Chinese Flame Stitch Silk Panels, having exotic birds among flowering branches and bamboo, realistically rendered on a caramel field, altered as follows: 1) 60" (152.4 cm) x 90" (228.6 cm) panel that has simply been lined; 2) Scroll mounted matching panel, lined, on wooden rollers, 43" (109.2 cm) square, 52" (132.1 cm) rollers; 3) Door or Bed Drape in sheer white synthetic tulle with 6" (15.2 cm) border at top and along one edge made up from this stitchwork and edged with matching tassel fringe; 4) Padded Panel with green silk flanking a 3 1/2" (8.9 cm) band of this stitchwork, 8" (20.3 cm) x 91" (231.1 cm) overall. All in good shape with minor staining, loose stitching, base fabric still supple.
