A small introduction to the renowned Irish painter.
'It documents his life from his childhood in Belfast, through
his student days in Paris and training under Whistler.
Having found work as an illustrator in London he continued
to paint in his spare time. In 1908 he went to Achill Island
off the Irish coast and painted islanders going about their
work and started his landscapes that he was to become
internationally famed for.'
