General marks, scratches, rubbing, cracking and wear commensurate with age. Shrinkage cracking to sides. Areas of lifting, loss, patched repair and overpainted restoration to veneers. Interior possibly reconfigured. Leather writing surface replaced. Some bronze mounts probably later in date. Varying quality to casting. Pull out writing slide mechanism somewhat sticky. Four keys.
