Rare pair of New England wrought iron andirons, ca. 1760, with goose necks, faceted ball finials, open heart form shafts, and arched bases with short shoe feet, 22 1/2'' h. While the open heart motif is used in ornate utensils and Conestoga wagon hardware, it is extremely rare to find in this form. Provenance: Mary Page, Warner, New Hampshire.
Good condition. Expected wear.
