(1922-2011) Group of four carved wood ducks, with bowl form backs for rocks, three black ducks marked ''J. Anderlik'', the other marked ''By my hand, J. Anderlik'', approximate length longest 12 1/2''. Note: Joseph E. ''Paco'' Anderlik of Arlington Heights, Illinois, was born April 9, 1922, in Mexico City, Mexico. He served as a radioman-gunner in the Navy during World War II and flew off of the USS Franklin in the Pacific Theater. He flew 125 combat missions and was awarded two air medals for the destruction of two enemy aircrafts during the battle of Leyte Gulf in the Philippines. Mr. Anderlik was an avid outdoorsman and a renowned decoy carver who specialized in loons.
