"The work of Paul- Louis Rebora belongs within the boundaries of symbolism and mystery. It is to be listened to as much as looked at, or even read. It invites to meditation, reflection and peace. It is constantly necessary to go beyond appearances, in order to catch the echo of this scarcely audible dialogue with the universe, Here each is a sign.
These curves, these ovals, these circumvolutions lend rythms to the movement, to the song of the mysterious celestial clock. On the work of Paul- Louis Rebora, the plastic motive factor eclipses the decorative effect as perfect as it may be. It dominates over the unreal subtilities, like this light, and it is which leaps out from each canvas, seemingly a stranger to any technique or artifice. His compositions, with their often simple masses, and their ascending lines, practically all translate as a sort of flight, and elevation towards purity, and the absolute. It is a motionless journey within the boundaries of symbolism and mysticism." S. E. Chapel.
