Description
19th century Japanese bronze incense burner in the shape of a Hotei, the Laughing Buddha, with a child, signed by Sogaku on bottom. 4.5" H x 4" W. Provenance: Removed from a 157 East 57th Street estate. Includes original receipt and certificate of antiquity, dated Nov. 22, 1970 from Kyoto Handicraft Center, Japan.
