An uproarious look at 1960s American car culture. Dave Berg took a job working in Will Eisner’s Quality Comics studio in 1940, beginning a tenure in comics which would last over half a century and see him creating some of the most hilariously iconic American comics of the 20th century. From there Berg would branch out into other ventures, among them Stan Lee’s Timely (later Marvel) Comics and Bill Gaines’s infamous EC Comics. In 1957 Berg was offered a more steady job writing and illustrating for MAD Magazine, and four years later he introduced “The Lighter Side…”, which would ultimately become one of MAD’s most popular features.
