Judy Chicago (born Judith Cohen) was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1939. Known for her modernist installations and collage work, Chicago's work has been on display all over the world, including a major exhibition titled "Resolutions for the Millennium: A Stitch in Time", at the American Craft Museum in New York. Chicago's instillation "The Dinner Party" is another notable work that now resides the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Chicago attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received both her B.A. and M.A. Chicago was a processor at California State University where she and Miriam Schapiro established the first feminist art course and the Feminist Art Program at the California Institute of the Arts and now resides at her studio in Balen, New Mexico. Amongst an artists, Chicago is also known as an author, educator, feminist and intellectual.
