Description
A group of three miniature Dan masks, Western Africa, mid-20th Century, each nicely carved with short or no hair, narrow eyes and jutting chin. Sometimes referred to as 'Passport Marks' and worn or sewn into clothing or similar. Sizes from 2 1/4 in (5.7 cm) & 4 1/4 in (10.7 cm). Each with nice age patina and mounted on a custom base. Ex Petersen-Neubauer family collection, Los Angeles.
