Description
WWII Group from Staff Sergeant Francis G. Kosowicz of Connecticut. He served 23 months as an Infantryman in the Pacific, and then came back to the states as an Intelligence School Instructor, before becoming a Press Agent for the 7th War Loan, followed by service in the Army Ground Forces Public Relations Office, where he wrote the unit history of the 87th Infantry Division and 30th Infantry Division. This group came via a picker who got it from his daughter, who said he also served in the Ninth Army in Germany toward the end of the War in an Ordnance Capacity. The group includes his named uniform jacket (mothing in several areas), misc. insignia, some paper and booklets, a captured German camera in a damaged leather carrying case, and his campaign hat. The CIB is sterling clutch back, and the DUI's screwback. Also includes a folding brass match holder (?). Riker mount not included, just the contents
