Two Rare Examples of Egyptian Glass: Cobalt Blue Scarab and Small Crude Perfumed Oil Bottle. Ancient Egypt, Late Period to Ptolemaic, ca. 600 to 30 BCE. A scarab formed from paste glass (known as frit) in dark cobalt, formed to resemble the sacred beetle, with the top of the amulet having details of wings, legs, and head. 12 x 23½ x 17¼.
