1st-2nd Century A.D. Roman Glass and High Karat Yellow Gold Bead Necklace. Petite Roman necklace of small glass and 23K yellow gold beads. Necklace has been strung in vaguely graduated sized. But the final 8 glass beads at center of necklace are exceptional, almost perfectly matched in size and having been carefully blown with internal white glass striations. Necklace is finished at center with gold finial and a single round gray bead. Necklace is 16" long with simple hook and eyelet clasp. Wearable with care. 15¾ grams. Estimated Value $800 - 1,000
