Late 19th century, signed and titled to base ''Mineur / par Ch Levy / Salon des Beaux Arts'' (Charles-Octave Levy, 1820 - 1899, French), depicting a bare-chested man with a glass lantern suspended from his belt, holding a pick axe and standing on an integral rocky base, on a square stone plinth, the bronze alone, 22'' H x 7'' Dia., est:$1000/1500. Condition
The plinth alone: 3'' x 8.5'' x 8.5''. Good condition overall. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear commensurate with age. Some light dirt accumulation. Glass in lantern cracked. Patina a rich brown. Plinth with a 1'' x .5'' chip to one corner. Bronze not affixed to plinth.
