Description
Circa 16th-17th century AD. Two hand-wrought iron hammer heads, each with central piercing to receive a shaft, each with an octagonal section head and tapered blade reverse. see UKDFD reference 11692. Found together near London Bridge, River Thames foreshore, London, recorded at Museum of London. Iron, 455 grams, 115mm; 525 grams, 135 mm. (4 1/2-5 1/2").[2]
