RIAA Gold Album Award for Diana Krall album Live In Paris. The album was released in Oct. 1, 2002 and was certified Gold by the RIAA on Dec. 19, 2002 for 500,000 copies sold. 

The album, which was recorded during Krall's sold out performances that took place at the Olympia in Paris from Nov. 29 thru Dec. 2, 2001. Featuring her take on many classic jazz standards, it topped the Billboard Top Jazz Albums chart and peaked at #18 on the Top 200 Albums chart. The album won Krall a Grammy award in 2003 for Best Jazz Vocal Album and also picked up a Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Gold award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2003 making it approximately 18 years old. It was given to Maureen Murphy. 

It is all original with unopened backing paper, Ill Eagle Enterprises manufacturer's sticker and all correct components. This award is in Excellent condition.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
