Description

Lot of 2. Primary item is a hardbound book titled The Science of Railways: Passenger, Baggage, Express and Mail Service. By Marshall M. Kirkman. Volume V. Chicago: The World Railway Publishing Company. 1904. 609 pp including Appendix. No photos or engravings. Appendix consists of drawings of various RR documents. Maroon cloth cover intact w/gilt impressed lettering and design on spine. Spine has scuff marks along with minor tear on bottom; lower half of spine cover detached from back cover. Very little foxing on pages. Binding intact. Excellent condition. This is one of 12 volumes Kirkman wrote on the science of railways, first published in 1894.
