Frank Lloyd Wright 1950 Signed and Inscribed Photograph, Finest Known
A large bust portrait photograph, measuring 9.75" x 12.75" (sight), Dodgeville, Wisconsin, dated August 24, 1950. Signed and inscribed on the mat, "To Max Moffett at Taliesin Aug 24/50 Frank Lloyd Wright." The portrait was taken by Edgar L. Obma, A.P.S.A. Matted and double-framed to the overall size of 17.25" x 20.75". With a small spot on the photograph, and light soiling to the mat. Boldly signed, very fine.
Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) was named the American Institute of Architects’ “greatest American architect of all time”, and with good reason. His work is much beloved for his principle in designing in harmony with humanity and the environment, a philosophy he called organic architecture. Over a creative period of 70 years, Wright designed 1,114 structures - 532 of which were realized - and created some of the most innovative spaces in the United States.
