A large bust portrait photograph, measuring 9.75" x 12.75" (sight), Dodgeville, Wisconsin, dated August 24, 1950. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) was named the American Institute of Architects’ “greatest American architect of all time”, and with good reason. His work is much beloved for his principle in designing in harmony with humanity and the environment, a philosophy he called organic architecture. Over a creative period of 70 years, Wright designed 1,114 structures - 532 of which were realized - and created some of the most innovative spaces in the United States.
