Root head Canada goose from Long Island, 1st quarter 20th century. Root head goose with unpainted underside. Old label on underside of tail says that the decoy is from the rig of hunting guide Everette Talmage of South Hampton, Long Island. Measures 24 3/4" long.

Condition
Thin original paint with very minor wear; some chipping at base of neck; small chip where bill meets face was reglued with small amount of glue visible; some loss to heart wood on underside near tail.
