Alfred Dehodencq (French, 1822-1882). Original French Empire Period mixed media ink and brown wash painting. Titled, "Bacchus, Etude Pour Le Tableau 1878." A study for a painting, "The Triumph of Bacchus." From the collection of Gabriel Seailles (1852-1922), reproduced in his book, "Alfred Dehodencq: The Man and the Artist" (1910). Presented in a decorative linen matte and gilt frame. Original antique handwritten legend to verso. Retains original Joy Moos Gallery label. Guaranteed Authentic. Work Size: 6 x 7 in.
