Regency Mahogany Double Pedestal Dining Table, second quarter 19th century, each section having a tilting apparatus for the top, the turned pedestals with four down-curved legs fitted with brass casters and stamped lion masks, accompanied by a nineteen inch leaf, h. 28", w. 50", l. 76", ext. l. 95".
In good overall condition. It exhibits normal mars, wear, light surface scratches, and a number of mars and blemishes to the edges (most notably the perimeter edges of the top, and the legs) There is a small glued split above one tenon where the two halves of the top meet. Tight and solid. There are no apparent breaks or repairs to the legs. NOTE: Probably of somewhat later manufacture than the catalog date indicates.
