One electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within a two tiered diamond lattice gallery, supported by diamond set three way split shoulders and completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of “18K 750”. Containing: One prong set rectangular cushion mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 14.60 x 12.20 x 9.20mm, approximate weight of 14.20ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA Bv 5/3) to medium, very slightly grayish, purple,( GIA P 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. The stone displays 40% extinction. Colored Stones Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. One hundred thirty prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.20 – 1.10 x 0.69mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 130 Stones = 1.16ct. Graded in the setting.
