Province: Asia. Made: Made of hand forged steel hand hammered and hand chiseled. Four hand engraved figures representing the great Sikh leader MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH JI , his son SHER SINGH and two generals.
Surface : The shield bears an elaborate chiseled engraving entire surface with floral &creeper design and has 4 dommed bosses.
During research I have found that this listed dhal shield is comparable to shield dhal which is in collection with " BIRMINGHAM ART GALLERY ".
Back of shield has 2 handles to hold and has cloth cushion.
Measurements : The shield is large than normal shield , it is 19 inches in diameter.
