Item Details

Description

One of the classic antique cast iron mechanical banks, patented by John Hall in 1869 and manufactured by the J.& E. Stevens Company. Pull the doorknob and the roof lifts up revealing a cashier. Put some coins on the cashier’s tray and the weight of the coin closes the cupola roof and the money is “in the bank”. Cast iron with wooden cashier, 5 ¾ in. tall to top of cashier X 4 in. wide at roof line.
