AN INTERESTING RUSSIAN COMPOSITE ORMOLU, AGATE AND MALACHITE CLOCK, INSCRIBED GUSTAV FABERGE, CIRCA 1870. The circular steeped gilded base on ball feet with agate insert supporting an agate seal-type central stem mounted with a gilt bezel frame embellished with malachite cabochons and holding the timepiece displaying a silver matted center and painted Roman chapters. Verso of timepiece set with a miniature carved scene depicting St. Tikhon of Kaluga with glass cover. Base engraved "Gustav Faberge Grande Morskey St. Petersburg 661215". Height 8.25 inches (21 cm).
