DEREK BOSHIER, CHRISTOPHER LOGUE, AND BERT MAYSE, TWO COLLABORATIVE LITHOGRAPHS, 1966-1970, comprising two offset lithographs and screenprints on paper, Derek Boshier and Christopher Logue, “Sex War Sex Cars Sex,” 21 1/4" x 17 5/8"; Derek Boshier and Bert Mayse, "Artist From Space," poster, 24" x 19". Note: Boshier collaborated with the poet Christopher Logue on several posters during this period. Christopher Logue (1926-2011) the English poet, screenwriter, and actor, was awarded the 2005 Whitbread Poetry Award, the Paris Review/Bernard F. O'Connor Award, and was honored by the Queen of England as a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his contributions to literature. His poetry is marked by his commitment to pacifism and political leanings.The poster "Artist From Space" commemorated an exhibition at the Printing Industries of America, which was rebranded as the Printing Museum, in Houston, Texas. Provenance: Estate of David E. Brauer, Houston, Texas.
