AN ASSEMBLED GROUP OF SIX STAFFORDSHIRE BLUE AND WHITE TRANSFER PRINT POTTERY LUNCHEON PLATES AND A SMALL SERVING PLATTER IN A VARIATION OF "THE VILLAGE CHURCH" PATTERN, ENGLAND, CIRCA 1830-1840, comprising three plates with flat bottoms and three with turned bottom, diameter: 8 1/2"; and a rectangular serving platter with canted corners, height: 1 1/8"; width: 10 5/8"; depth: 7 5/8"; each with medium blue transfer print decoration in a variation of "The Village Church" pattern featuring two recumbent cows in the foreground instead of the customary three, with "Wild Rose" border, unmarked. Condition
Crazing and staining to glaze, one plate with chip to rim, the platter with chip to rim, minor surface scratching commensurate with age and use.
