Taher Chemirik is an Algerian born jewelry designer who moved to Paris in 1977 working for costumes and decors for The Paris Opera, then later on, as a designer for Ralph Lauren. After discovering his love for jewelry in 1990, he worked from his studio in Brittany, where he specializes in hand crafted articles. Designed pieces for Karl Lagerfeld at Chloe, and later Chanel, Hermes, Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent. Was named one of the world's most influential designers by Time magazine in 2007.
