Neresheimer, Hanau ca. 1900
The place card holders each cast and chased as a standing pheasants on an oval terrain base; together with a snuff box, rectangular with plain straight sides, the conforming lid with a molded rim and later engraved with a coaching scene, bearing marks for London 1812; a gilt set of six dessert knives and six forks with ribbed mother-of-pearl handles, Harrison Bothers & Howson, Sheffield 1903; and a set of three Tiffany & Co ashtrays for cigars, each circular with plain edges and centers. Place card holders marked on bases; ashtrays marked Tiffany & Co./ STERLING. All with signs of use and light scratching. (20)
Height of place card holders: 2-3/8 in; diameter of ashtrays: 3-3/4 in; length of snuffbox 3-1/2 in; total weight: 14 oz.

Ashtrays with light scratching and some dents especially to bottoms; snuffbox with old repair on right side of body done in silver solder; interior probably once gilt; molded edge with some wear. Place card holders with some unevenness and wear to cast features. Light wear to gilding and some very minor wear to handles of dessert set.
