Color lithograph on the Plate. Stunning composition exquisitely designed with cool colors of greens, blues and purples evoking a sense of peace. Signed lower right. Housed in a black frame. Sight size: 19.25"H x 15.5"W. Frame: 27"H x 23.75"W. Itzchak Tarkay was a painter known for his impressionistic works influenced by artists such as Henri Matisse and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. He studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and the Avni Institute of Art and Design. Tarkay gained recognition as a leading member of a new generation of figurative artists. In addition to his work in acrylic and watercolor, Tarkay was a skilled graphic artist. In 1986 and 1987, he was invited to participate in the International Art Expo in New York, where he showed works in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. #art #painting
