Elena Sheppa (American, 20th century), Large Glass African Themed Presentation Bowl
2001, commissioned by the Lowry Park Zoo, Tampa, Florida to raise funds for the African exhibit; blown clear glass with etched frosted designs to the top and underside of tribal designs, animals and people, the foot marked South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, 2001, artist signed to the outer edge; this lot accompanied by the book 500 Glass Objects which features Elena on page 71.

This bowl is one of five made for donations of $500k+ to the Lowry Park Zoo, one of which was presented to the King of Botswana.
