Additionally, Fried’s most desired images are exquisite illustrations of bullfights. Like the one here, “The Matador Original”, an alluring depiction of agility and courage, which combines his most coveted subjects and finest talents. Giving the viewer fabulous insight into Fried’s full realm of captivating genius, and why he is considered a master of expressionism. Pal Fried (1893 - 1976): A Hungarian born artist who studied under Claude Monet and Lucien Simone in Paris, with influences from Degas and Renoir. He went on to become a recognized master himself often painting intricate portraits of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, the Gabor sisters, Will Rogers and politicians. He was also well known for his depictions of Paris culture like ballerinas, nudes and horse racing. Today his art continues to exhibited in museums around the world where it is praised by collectors and critics alike.
