England, a later 19th century tea caddy with Wedgwood plaque, the elongated, hexagonal box with burl walnut veneer, molded base, domed top, and engraved brass Gothic mounts, the top set with a Wedgwood blue jasper plaque depicting Priam kneeling before Achilles, the interior with pale blue moire silk lining, and two covered compartments with mounts, one marked "Green", the other "Black", the cover hinge marked "Trussell Brighton"
Condition
in an old finish, dirty, veneer with blisters, minor splits and telegraphing of joints, mount on top now with gaps due to shrinkage, a few decorative brass nails missing, lining deteriorated, mounts on covers also missing four decorative nails ACCESSORIES:
