Description
A 15th-century important figurine of Padmapani Avalokiteshvara. Padmapani (lotus holder) is a Lokeshvara, the bodhisattva with one face and two hands. The right-hand makes a gesture of generosity, while the left-hand holds the stem of the blossoming lotus flower. Padmapani is dressed in a thin dhoti secured by a beaded belt, wide necklace, and high tiara. The surface of the figurine is decorated with detailed relief and delicate engraving, there are traces of gilding. Mounted on a rectangular stand.

Very good with nice bronze patina.
