Austrian P1854 Civil War Percussion Rifled Musket With Original Bayonet. .58 caliber octagon to round barrel with sharp crisp bore. All metal is bright, clean and smooth with just some minor dark stains. Mechanically perfect, the lock is marked 857 with Austrian numbers/proofs on various parts. Wood is excellent with just a minor crack that runs for 2" along the ramrod channel. The replaced ramrod is from a Mississippi rifle. Complete with 4 sided Austrian bayonet and correct original leather covered scabbard. Both in fine condition with just some minor pitting on the bayonet locking ring. Very nice example of this imported rifle that was heavily used by both sides during the war.
