Description
Sungtu Chin Tunic, Burma, Early to Mid 20th C. Woman's long tunic made from four rectangular sections of cloth, sewn together to leave a vertical slit at the front and back at the neck and short side slits. Made of a warp-faced, cotton tabby fabric, with patterning in supplementary weft inlay. Southern Burma. Size: 34'' x 32'', (86 x 81 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
