Two dark khaki green Bakelite screw cap stash tubes with screw tops. Both tubes are in fine vintage to antique condition, caps move freely. Some soldiers used tubes as cases for needles in sewing kits, others in case of capture used sealed tubes such as these to hide cyanide ampules in a body cavity or other contraband while in a POW camp. A profound memento of the sacrifices of war. Size: L- 2 inches W- .5 inches
