He moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1905 and opened a photography studio. He made studio shots of the townspeople and Native Americans of the region. Some of his Indian images were made into litho and photo postcards. He also produced some cabinet cards. One of the pallbearers at Drum's funeral was Frank Griggs, another local photographer. This artist is featured in the book "American Indian Photo Post Card Book" compiled by Edward McAndrews, on pages 41 and 42.
