**First Time At Auction**
Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd century BCE. A fine pair of terracotta hand-made bull figures, both standing upon 4 straight legs and displaying slender bodies with humped backs and petite tails. Forward-facing horns cap the head of each beast, and both feature square snouts and incised annular eyes. Size (of largest): 2.4" L x 1.8" W x 2.8" H (6.1 cm x 4.6 cm x 7.1 cm)
Provenance: private C.Q. collection, Lexington, Virginia, USA, acquired November 11, 2013; ex-Artemis Gallery; ex-private Poolos collection, Illinois, USA, acquired prior to 1974

Condition
Loss of tail to larger and loss of right horn to smaller. Expected surface wear, commensurate with age. Otherwise, both are very nice with rich earthen deposits.
