This lot includes several antique medical oddities, including a 1922 Embalmers certificate signed on New Years Eve ( measures 19 x 16 inches) , an original 1890 Box set of Fowlers Curved Urethral Sounds, American, 19th century. This is a complete set of six double-ended finely polished, graduated, metal sounds all contained in the original long leather bound wood case. They are designed for dilating the male urethral canal, for locating strictures, and for sounding for the presence of bladder stones. Also included in the set is an antique bone saw knife and an antique tonsil removal tool. The tool kit box measures 12 x 4 inches when closed, the tonsil tool measures 10 inches long and the bone saw measures 8.5 inches, all of these objects were part of the Permanent display at the Metamora Museum of Oddities, Metamora, Indiana.
