#A2387 for 100 shares to Wilson W. Fay & Co. in 1900. Signed by president Benj. Heath, treasurer Edward Noyes and secretary. Large tiger head vignette. Printed by Lowell & Co. of Boston. Reverse has a 2c documentary stamp. Corner folds, very light discoloration bottom border and one vertical fold. Still nice looking. The company had purchased 2 claims, 40 acres, six miles from Yreka, on the divide between two of the richest placer creeks in Northern California. A good wagon road runs from Yreka to the mouths of the tunnels. It had a five stamp mill, rock crushers, concentrator, etc. When this was written there had been 1,000' of shaft work completed. William, A, Bantz was the superintendent.
