A 1924 18k Gold British Open Championship Medal. This is a second non-presented medal for the 1924 Championship that was won by Walter Hagen on June 27th at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England. Front inscribed "Open Golf Championship 1924" and "Winner _____ June" verso with Walker & Hall touchmark, Sheffield (Tudor Rose), 18 and "f" for 1924. The medal presented to Hagen has his name and score engraved under the "Winner" banner verso. 61.8 grams total weight. Minor surface wear. Approximately 1 3/4" diameter.
